Cola-Con is the nation’s first Hip-Hop and Comic convention, founded in 2011 in Columbia, South Carolina by journalist and hip-hop artist Preach Jacobs.

The event brings together hip-hop, comics, film, and culture through live panels, screenings, performances, and conversations exploring the deep connections between hip-hop culture and comic book storytelling.Over the years, Cola-Con has featured an impressive lineup of artists, creators, and cultural figures, including Ghostface Killah, The Foreign Exchange, Phife Dawg (A Tribe Called Quest), Pete Rock, Talib Kweli, and more—alongside visionary comic and animation talents such as Sanford Greene, Ed Piskor, and LeSean Thomas.
